Description
The following data set shows the number of dwellings in each energy efficiency rating band per quarter. The energy efficiency rating is a measure of the overall efficiency of a building. This rating is based on the performance of the building and its fixed services (such as heating and lighting). The higher the rating the more energy efficient the home is and the lower the fuel bills will be. The energy efficiency rating charts are divided into rating bands ranging from A+ to G, (or A to G in the case of a building that is a dwelling), where A+ is very efficient and G is the least efficient. A DEC (domestic energy certificate) shows the energy performance of a building (the operational rating) based on actual energy consumption as recorded over the last 12 months within the validity period of the DEC. This rating is shown on a scale from A to G. The statistics also include partial figures for Q3 2014. These have been included for reference purposes; however users should treat these as strictly provisional. The Q3 2014 figures will change in subsequent quarterly publications as the EPB Registers are updated with new EPCs and DECs. Additional Information The original source for this data is the DCLG Open Data Portal - http://opendatacommunities.org/data/building-standards-and-sustainability/energy-efficiency-and-performance/domestic/certifcates-lodged-by-number/by-energy-efficiency

This dataset shows locations of cooling towers. This is a combined list managed and enforced by Leeds City Council and the Health & Safety Executive. Cooling towers are part of a system for providing air conditioning or refrigeration on a large scale. There is a heat exchanger in the tower to remove heat which aids cooling. They are usually placed on the top of buildings. The problem with cooling towers is that they produce warm water vapour, and unless they are managed properly there is a risk of Legionella being distributed in the air.

This dataset provides a comprehensive list of council owned land and building assets which are deemed corporately owned. Some assets such as investment properties, void properties, and office accommodation are managed on behalf of the whole council by Asset Management (corporate landlord), whilst others which generally support front line services are managed by the Services themselves (tenants). Definitions and Information “Lease in” and “Leased in” means a property which the council rents from any external company or organisation “Lease out” and “Leased out” means a council property rented out to an external company or organisation “Surplus” means that the council has determined that it no longer requires the asset and whilst usually applied to vacant properties this is not necessarily the case “ Vacant” means not currently used and it’s future has yet to be determined “Vacant temporarily” means one council user has vacated and another council user will be moving in “Vacant surplus” means one council user has vacated and it has been determined that the asset is no longer required There are around 200 properties without a status, this is because the information was not available at the time when the data was prepared. It is likely that these properties are “Council occupied” Improved descriptions and omissions will be addressed at the next revision In the spirit of openness and transparency, this is a first attempt at producing this list and it is possible that there may be some errors and omissions, the aim however, is to continuously improve on the quality of the data where necessary, in future editions.
