Description

The National Statistics Area Classification provides a simple indicator of the characteristics of the area based on a range of census data. The 'Distance from Centroids' dataset contains the distances between each SOA or DZ and the cluster centre measured in Euclidean Distance. The smaller the distance, the stronger the association. It provides a simple indicator of the characteristics of the area and of the similarity between areas, for comparative or targeting purposes, and as a variable for analysis with other data.
