Please note that this data set is not maintained. The data shown in the tab "Visitors to the UKHO Archive" represents two data sets. The first shows how many external visitors used the Archive during the period 2006-2010. This includes organised group visits, as well as individuals. The second table shows the number of indiduals and groups who specifically made appointments to undertake research at the UKHO's Archive Research Room. The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) is a designated Place of Deposit under the Public Records Act for storing records relating to hydrographic surveying, chart production and administration. The UKHO is a Ministry of Defence (MoD) secure site and appointments to visit the Archive are granted to bona fide researchers. Four weeks notice is required in advance of a visit.
