Description

This dataset shows the extent and names of Abattoirs, Detention Centres, Educational Institutions (e.g. Schools, Universities) Hospitals, Oil Refineries, Power Generation Facilities, Scientific Facilities, Sugar Refineries and major Tourist Attractions within the State of Queensland. The data has been compiled from numerous sources to produce a state wide coverage with the boundary of the property extent containing the facility aligned in most cases with the Queensland Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB). Attributes within the data describe the source of the data and includes data obtained from:- Queensland Digital Cadastral Database- Queensland Regional Mapping- Queensland Orthophotography- Satellite Imagery- Geoscience AustraliaLandmark Areas currently include features such as:Education Institutions- Colleges of Technical and Further Education- Pre-Primary Schools- Primary Schools- Secondary Schools- Special Schools- UniversitiesHospitals- Health Centers- Dental Hospitals- Private Hospitals- Public HospitalsPower Generation FacilitiesScientific FacilitiesLandmark Area General- Abattoirs- Detention Centres- Oil Refineries- Sugar Refineries- Tourist Attractions
