Description

This statistical First Release (SFR) provides information on a range of outcomes for children who have been continuously looked after by a Local Authority for at least 12 months as at 31 March 2010 in England. This new publication includes information on the attainment, special educational needs, absence and exclusions of this cohort of children, taken from the matched administrative data taken from the Children Looked After database and the National Pupil Database (CLA-NPD). This publication also includes the first release of information on cautions and convictions, substance misuse, healthcare and activity at age 16 based on child level data from the Children Looked After database. This publication replaces that previously issued in April each year which was sourced from the now discontinued OC2 survey.
